The Bamboo Room at Sorry Charlie’s - Savannah, Georgia

David Wolfe (Basement Kahuna) spent 18 months gathering supplies and we spent the next 6 months installing 3 distinctive interiors into the 4500 square foot Bamboo Room (traditional old school tiki), the Tukan Hut (behind real 200 year old Fijian fertility hut doors) and the Tahiti Maiden (shipwreck bar). The build features carvings by Dave Hansen (Lakeshore Tiki) and some of the last carvings made by Oceanic Arts’ LeRoy Schmaltz. Over 50,000 hand cuts were made to the installation of miles of bamboo.
